Abstract Photographs of the Southwest
Meredith Mason Garcia had a long career as a neurobiologist at the Tulane University School of Medicine before retiring to Taos in 2005. At Tulane, a large part of her work involved anatomical studies of the brain, in which she used photomicroscopy to document her findings. Following retirement, she continued her photographic studies, focusing on abstract studies of the southwestern landscape, using both digital imaging and black and white film photography, which she has studied with Judith Vejvoda.
